Who we are...

Elite Women Praying for Change (EWPC, pronounced YOU-PICK) is a women’s prayer group in the Northern California, Bay Area! This women’s prayer group was created by Minister Cassie Boone in 2025 to promote the gathering of Christian women to pray about important issues, personal to global. It is a non-stressful space for women to pray with each other and form connections with other women walking closely with the Lord Jesus Christ. This powerful group of ladies crosses all age groups, professions, and denominational lines. Rooted in strong Biblical principles and a gift for the prophetic, many prayers have been answered and women have been blessed from the meetings. Meetings are held on the mornings of the 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month at a local church in North Oakland, Christian Bible Way Church, and are usually accompanied by a courtesy continental breakfast.  

Origin of the name...

You may have wondered where the name Elite Women Praying for Change originated. In Minister Cassie's personal prayer time, she asked the Lord to provide her with a name that encompasses the nature of this group, and this was the name He revealed. The word “elite” can mean a high level of status in society, but a second definition is more relevant for this group, which is “a group of persons who by virtue of position or education exercise much power or influence” (Merriam-Webster). In other words, God has given women the qualities and position needed for powerful and effective prayer.

Last year...

We held meetings from February to December, covering a variety of topics including prayers for:

🟤 Personal life (provision, healing relationships)

🟤 Community building (global affairs, salvation, deliverance)

🟤 Mental wellness (pyschological health, creativity, innovation)

🟤 Spiritual growth and OUTPOUR (a women's revivial held at the end of the year)

This year...

Our focus theme for 2026 is "The Prophetic: Hearing God's Voice." As women praying for change it's important to be aligned with God's will and growing in clarity and confidence in how He communicates with us. We desire greater discernment, revelation, and guidance by the Holy Spirit, as well as encouragement and support from our fellow sisters in Christ. This year will be enriching and transformative as we deepen our prayer lives and fellowship together. We seek God to move in our families, churches, and communities!
